WRAP UP

Sydney Wrap Up

It was another spectacular day for our second Digital Insight evening, this time in Sydney. The venue was sensational again, with the gorgeous views of Darling Harbour taking up one long side of the room, and staff on hand to issue everyone with a drink and something to eat as they arrived.

Megan Brownlow gave us her fascinating and detailed overview of the 2012 Outlook findings, while Nigel Abbot talked the crowd through the highly successful campaign that he had run at Snow Australia, utilising Komosion's digital solutions. Both talks were enthusiastically received, with many comments and questions flying around the room in our discussion panel, and during the socialising afterward.

We had around seventy attendees, who were just as digitally connected as the Melbourne crowd, one interesting divider being that the Melbournites were more frequent tweeters, while Sydney had more Foursquare check-ins.

Simon from Park Royal hotels walked away with the major door prize, being again the App version of the 2012 Outlook. Emma from Wattyl was the recipient of the Accor Hotels voucher, and we had dozens of funny, insightful and cheeky tweets up on our wall.

All in all a brilliant evening, which we can't wait to do again next year.

Melbourne Wrap Up

The sun was just setting as the first of the guests strolled in, and the view out of the PwC venue windows down to the Yarra was quite spectacular. In all we had more than sixty friends and associates rubbing shoulders on the night, and everybody was keen to hear from Andrew Barlow and Emma Newman talk about some new digital marketing insights.

Our Twitter wall was well frequented, with 91 posts from the assembled crowd – check out some of the memorable tweets below. We had some genuine insights from people, some interesting questions, and probably a little too much chat about New Kids on the Block.

Foursquare was a hit too, with our guests getting very digital and using it to check in instead of dropping their business cards in a fishbowl at the door. We gave away the PwC 2012 Outlook iPad app, as well as a $100 gift voucher for a stay at an Accor Hotel to two of our lucky checker's in.

If you are coming to Sydney, make sure to check in to the Event Venue: Digital Insights 2011 Sydney, to be in with a chance to win more prizes.
